Goes Green!

The Santa Barbara Jazz Society is pleased to announce the introduction of e-mail notices of our monthly concerts, events, updates and newsletters. To communicate better with all of our members, volunteers and friends, we are proud to offer a more ecological way to receive monthly news and updates.

Otherwise, in the future we will stop sending a hard copy notice by snail mail each month and send you an e-mail notice instead. We respect your privacy! Any and all information collected will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold, reused, rented, loaned, or otherwise disclosed. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy.

The Santa Barbara Jazz Society is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote and support jazz  through a variety of activities. The SBJS was formed in 1995 to promote jazz and produce events for the community of jazz musicians and jazz buffs. Since then, we have hosted many outstanding jazz performances with our area's finest musicians along with recognized names in the world of jazz. We are very proud of our scholarship program which opens  new doors of opportunity within our high school music departments for performance and funding.

Our concerts are open to all, however, membership has its advantages. SBJS members receive a reduced rate at all of our monthly concerts and are welcome to our semi annual private parties. Members also receive discounts on many local concerts with internationally known performers. (Each year a 10% discount to SBJS members for the Lobero's "Jazz At The Lobero Series" and their "Hot Licks and Frets Series". )  For membership information, please see our website www.sbjazz.org.

The Santa Barbara Jazz Society  is dependent upon the dedication of volunteers who help at the gigs and serve on our committees and board. If you would like to join us in any capacity we would welcome your involvement.

If you have any questions please E-Mail me at KathrynS@cox.net or call me at 805-570-1053, and keep checking our website for more information on our upcoming concerts.
