The Santa Barbara Jazz Society proudly presents the Jon Mayer Quartet featuring Rickey Woodard on April 19 at SOhO from 1 to 4pm. New York born, now Los Angeles based pianist, Mayer began his musical career in the New York jazz scene of the 1950’s and 1960’s. Jazz fans have been impressed with his artistry, char-acterized by a supple and relaxed rhythmic feel and a keen sense of melody in his solos.
