SOhO 1221 State St # 205, Santa Barbara, CA 93101
In Honor of the Smithsonian’s Jazz Appreciation Month, the Santa Barbara Jazz Society presents Spotlight on Santa Barbara Sunday, April 15 from 1 to 4pm at SOhO. We’ve lined up a stellar cast of super local musicians for the occasion including pianists Debbie Denke and Miles Napier, bassists Brandon Statom and Hank Allen, drummers Kevin Winard and Darrell Voss, sax players Lito Hernandez, Andrew Martinez, Justin Clavier, and vocalists Donna Greene and Stu Carey. We’ll also have some surprise musicians and, if that were not enough, we’ve invited a special guest from Los Angeles, Grammy nominated, pianist Christian Jacob.
The award winning Dos Pueblos High School Jazz Band will be opening our concert and will be receiving our Scholarship award of $1000.
Admission to the event is $15 for members, $25 for non-members, $5 for full-time students, and $7 for local jazz musicians with membership. Tickets are available ONLY at the door and doors open at 12:30. Seating is limited and members are admitted first, so plan to arrive early. For more information, please call 805-687-7123
