Scott WhitfieldScott-Whitfield-Ginger-Berglund has assembled a stellar cast for his debut as a Jazz Society leader. They are Ginger Berglund, vocalist from the Modernaires, Roger Neuman on Tenor Sax, Jennifer Leitham on Bass, drummer Kendall Kay, and pianist Jeff Colella. Scott, one of LA’s busiest trombonists, arranger and composer was with the Pied Pipers for 10 years. This concert will feature the Johnny Mandel songbook, Scotts last CD. They’ll play The Shadow Of Your Smile, Emily and many other Mandel’s hit songs. Great songs! Great Arrangements! And superb players add up to another great afternoon for members of the Santa Barbara Jazz Society and friends.

Admission for the concert is $15 for Jazz Society members, $25 for non-members, and $7 for full time students and local jazz musicians with membership. We hope you can join us for a memorable afternoon of great jazz.

The Santa Barbara Jazz Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to perpetuating and preserving Americas unique musical contribution to the world-jazz. We present monthly concerts that feature all types of jazz musicians giving them a venue to utilize their talent. The Jazz Society also gives yearly scholarships to students in the Santa Barbara area so they can pursue their education in this important style of music.
